Red cedar plank cooking was discovered by Canadian Pacific Northwest Aboriginals many years ago.

Just soak the red cedar plank in water for about an hour and then lay the rainbow trout on to the plank.

Barbecue using the direct or indirect method. The moisture from the wood is released in a Smokey aroma and flavours the fish.

 

 

A super way of smoking your fish and you don't need a lid on your barbecue. The planks can be used 4 or 5 times if you look after them and they don't char to badly.
