Rugged stainless steel wood chip smoker box allows wood chips to smoke for longer for richer smoke flavour.
The advantage of a box is that the chips smoulder and produce smoke rather than burn and produce heat.
For use with charcoal BBQ's, smokers and gas barbecues.
No need to soak woodchips in water when using a smoker box.
Ideal if you want to smoke food on your gas or charcoal barbecue.
How to use:
Open lid of smoker box, half fill with your chosen woodchips or pellets. For best results place on heater plate directly above the gas burner on your BBQ or on the lava rock or on hot charcoal.
Smoke should appear after around 5 minutes. This is the time you should add your food to the barbecue and close the lid.
The woodchips will smoke for about 15 to 30 minutes. Don't lift the lid, allow your food to take on the delicious smoke flavour.
When smoking is complete you can allow your dish to roast or you can finish cooking directly over the grill.
When cold simply dispose of the charcoal remains of the woodchips.
For a longer slower smoke you can soak your woodchips in water for 30 minutes before adding the smoker box.
When smoking food on your BBQ you must use the indirect cooking method (no direct heat under the food)
