BBQ Side of Salmon with Rolled Bacon
1 Fresh Side of Salmon
10 rashers of smoky bacon rolled and pinned with a cocktail stick
4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Fresh Lemon
2 Tablespoons of Fresh Parsley
1 Red Onion
Red Green and yellow Peppers
Prepare a silver foil boat with a double layer of good quality foil, coat the bottom of the boat with olive oil.
Place the side of salmon into the boat and add the rolled bacon, peppers, lemon and onions.
Coat or spray with olive oil and add the parsley and seasoning.
Barbecue using the indirect method for about 30 to 45 minutes or until the fish flakes back with a fork.
A Planet Barbecue favourite, the smoky bacon is delicious.
BBQ Smoking Tips and Ideas
Try barbecuing using oak or apple woodchips for a full smoked salmon flavour.
Just add the woodchips when the charcoal is ready and when the BBQ starts smoking add the salmon and close the BBQ lid. (top vent open)
