|BBQ Chicken Drumsticks
8 chicken drumsticks
1/3 mug of olive oil
4 cloves garlic
2 tps salt and black pepper
¼ jar honey
Finely chop the garlic and add to the olive oil. season with salt and black pepper.
Score the drumsticks 3 times each and Put the drumsticks into a large bowl.
Add the olive oil, garlic and honey (marinade) to the bowl and stir the chicken to coat.
If possible leave for one hour.
Cook on a barbecue using the indirect cooking method, turn and reposition the drumsticks to ensure even cooking.
The drumsticks are cooked when the juices run clear.
Spoon two teaspoons of honey over each drumstick and reposition over coals (direct cooking) for 2 minutes.
Serve with cider.
Light the barbecue before friends arrive and slowly smoke some chicken drumsticks, using the indirect cooking method.
Turn and reposition the Chicken every 15 minutes for about an hour. This ensures even cooking.
Present to your guests on arrival and you can cook something else while their licking their fingers.
