Bodean's in Tower Hill, London supplied a superb smoked platter that was smoked to perfection.
Bodeans use oak wood in a smoker imported from the USA in which various meats are smoked long and slow.
The meat platter we ordered for 2 persons included: Smoked chicken, smoked baby back ribs, pulled pork and smoked brisket.
The mountain of meat was £23.95 (Dec 2011) for 2 and included chips and coleslaw. This represented excellent value for money in a restaurant close to central London.
Also available on the large menu was starters including buffalo chicken wings, BBQ ribs and a clever idea which consisted of various samples called "Teasers"
House specialities from the oak burning smoke pit included Spare ribs, baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, combos and platters. All served with Bodean's own brand barbecue sauce "Smoky Hickory" and "Hot Chipotle" which if you like you can purchase to take away.
Bodean's have 4 barbecue smoke house restaurants in London and you are advised to book early because they are so popular but then the best always is.
