How to Use a BBQ
Cast Iron Smoke Pot
|
Insert the dry wood pellets into the cast iron smoke pot. Using the indirect cooking method prepare your BBQ |
![]() When the charcoal is ready for smoking (covered in white ash) the cast iron smoke pot is added to the charcoal using tongs
|
Replace the cooking grill of your BBQ and wait for the smoke pot to start smoking.
|
Using the indirect cooking method add your chosen joint of meat to the BBQ. The joint of brisket above has been pre prepared with a dry rub. |

![]() Add the lid to your BBQ and make sure the top vent is open to allow smoke to flow. Do not open the lid for the next 40 minutes.

When you remove the joint from the BBQ cover the meat with foil and rest for it for 20 minutes before serving.
